This is it - Summer is over. September brought us cold wind and shorter days, it's time to reopen our Etsy shops :) POLetsy blog team is back from vacation too and we're ready for hard work!

Many new polish artists joined our team in July and August, so don't forget to browse Etsy with 'poletsy' tag!

Also, big congrats to hypericumfragile, which work was featured yesterday in Etsy Finds! Her crocheted cufflinks are worth seeing (and buying!).

May Long Weekend

In Poland, such a phenomenon as Long Weekend usually occurs several times a year (the Easter weekend, Christmas weekend etc.). However, the best known long weekend is at the beginning of May, when there are holidays of Labour Day on May 1 and 3rd May Constitution Day. The 3rd May Constitution (1791) is generally regarded as Europe's first and the world's second modern codified national constitution (as you probably know, world's first constitution was ratified in USA in 1788).

There are few patriotic holidays in Poland, but only May is a perfect time to celebrate it outdoors. Picnicks, barbecues, hitchhiking trips and many more ways to spend these days off.

I browsed through Etsy categories looking for items related with Poland. I just love this T-shirt saying "Hug me, I'm Polish"!

Jasmine, Proms and Lilies

My Sunday mornings smell jasmine tea. It's a time, when only good news can be delivered - a perfect way to start new week.

It's so nice, when your work is being appreciate. Lot of POLetsy items were featured on Etsy FP, voters and storque already. annakrycz's purse rules Earth Day - it was on the 2nd place in last week voter. Congrats, Anna!

In a new voter you can vote for Etsy Prom Queen. We keep our fingers crossed for paktas and her Leather Envelope Clutch!

We're having fun not only with voter, but also with making Treasuries this week. Treasuries are a fantastic way to show people your favorite items and artists. Etsy has created new Treasury list (they call it "East"), which never expires. If you are looking for something extraordinary or one of the kind, treasuries are MUST SEE. Some of them are simply stunning, e.g. this one below, curated by DagnyKnit.
