Welcome to CasaDiAries crafting space!

PolETSY: What kinds of crafts do you do?
CasaDiAries: I mostly hand crochet and knit. I also write crochet patterns and put first steps in spinning.

Where do you craft?
Everywhere! Everything I need for a project fits in one small bag so I can take it with me wherever I go. My favorite place to craft is my huge balcony with beautiful views (my cat agrees with me). The weirdest place? Outside of a medieval castle in Paphos' harbor where I was overseeing installation of an exhibition designed by the company I work for.

What in your craft space (if anything) inspires you?
I find inspiration mostly in very old magazines and books, full of lovely designs from our grandparents' times. I love giving old-fashioned designs a second chance. The Internet is also a great place to find inspiration - there are so many talented artists hiding out there and waiting to be discovered!

What kind of materials, tools you use most often? How do you store them?
My main tools are quite simple - I use bamboo knitting needles and crochet hooks as well as different kinds of yarns, strings or jute twine. I do not own my own studio but I managed to get some free space in the bedroom to put a small desk with lots of drawers. My laptop is also a very important tool in my craft space - thanks to it I can write and design lovely crochet patterns.

How do you organize your workspace?
I have to say that I'm that kind of person who makes a huge mess within 10 seconds :) I try to organize my workspace by using drawers and boxes where I can hide my crafty mess.

Do you have any organization tip/tool/tricks that can help others improve their workspace?
Keep your workspace clean and neat, get a lot of small boxes with labels that will organize the space.

What is your one favourite thing in your craft room?
My new aquarium! I bought 3 goldfishes last month and now the fish tank takes half of my desk. I catch myself quite often on staring at the fishes instead of crocheting.

If you could change one thing in your craft room what would it be?
I would remove the bed from my craft room - it takes far too much space :)

Thanks for having us CasaDiAries!
