Amelia is the owner of Inameliart - an Etsy store with original artwork, where each piece is one of a kind original painting, not a print.

Tell us something about yourself

My name is Amelia and live in a house by the woods, 4 km away from closest chocolate (that is from the closest store with chocolate which is my weakness). I don't really know how to talk about myself, so I paint and my paintings will tell you a lot more about me than I ever could.

What do you do besides creating?

For the last couple of years I've been working on renovating an old house. This together with taking care of the garden takes up most of my "free time". In the winter I slow down a bit and catch up reading ... and I paint, paint, paint....

What made you want to become an artist?

I actually don't remember a moment like that... It sort of came naturally... I feel like it's always been with me.... I think that everybody who paint, sculpt and creative kind of know what I'm talking about.

What advice would you give to other sellers on Etsy?


I don't think I'm the best person for giving advice. I've been on Etsy for less than a year and I'm still learning it all myself. One thing that I can say for sure though, I think you need to believe in what you're doing and then others will follow.

How does your day look like?


My schedule changes with seasons. In the winter I have a lot more time for myself and my art. In the summer, I'm over consumed with the garden. So every day is different, however I always try not waste any time and fill my days with things that important.

How do you promote?


I try to meet other Etsy seller thru treasuries. I also try to list something or at least renew something every day. 

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?


I'm not looking that far ahead. Life has taught me that it doesn't make sense to do so. I'm  pleased with where I am right now and I'm working on being a happy person.

What inspires you?


Nature, people, music.
